Law Enforcement Advisory Board

Growing up in a law enforcement household in Macon, GA, I always knew that I wanted to wear the “Big Hat” for a living. There was just something special about seeing a Trooper on the road. I can’t tell you what that something special was, but every time I saw a Trooper I was overwhelmed with a sense of drive and emotion. I maintained my focus and after graduating from Mercer University, I began my law enforcement career in January 2008 when I attend the 85thTrooper School with the Georgia State Patrol. After graduating Trooper School, I was assigned to Post 1 Griffin where I worked for fourteen months before transferring to Post 44 Forsyth. I remained in Forsyth and was promoted to Corporal in July 2019. In July 2021, I was promoted to Sergeant at Post 1. During my career, I received the Troop D Trooper of the Year award in 2017 and 2018. I am a two-time recipient of the Troop D Speed Detection award. In addition, I have received multiple Top Performer awards for activity and the apprehension of wanted people. My career as a Trooper has been a very rewarding one and I am grateful every day I don the uniform that I chose this profession. The traffic stops, crashes, chases, and special details are all part of being a Trooper but what makes this job so rewarding is the people that we have an opportunity to meet
